Not a whole lot of substance was accomplished this week for work as a result of daycare and campus closures, but after no snow accumulation at all for the winter of 2009-2010 this pre-and-during Thanksgiving snow was long overdue.

I grew up with snow as something you drove 90 minutes to the Sierra Nevada for. The fact that we merely have to open our own front door to play in it a few times a year as a special treat is quite surreal. I do not want a repeat of the Christmas ice boulder this year though.
